Rhema Updates - March 31

Tomorrow we will have completed the first week of our last term of this school year. It's amazing how quickly time flies. Dave and I moved here August 31, 2010 and hit the ground running. Since then it's been non-stop. Highlights...

Life is an adventure. I know I won't get to the end of my life and think, "Wow. That was boring." Don't let anyone fool you. Following God with whole hearted abandon is exciting. Not always comfortable, but always good.

When things get uncomfortable, stick together. It's always tempting to look for someone else to blame for the problem. That only creates more problems. If you're married, you are on the same team. Stick together. Married people know better than siblings how to push each others buttons. When you're tempted to use the special ammo that you KNOW will really get 'em - push pause and suppress that urge!! You cannot take words back. They hurt alot more than sticks and stones.

If you're upset, worried, angry, frustrated...that other person did not MAKE you that way. You are already that way. It's already in you. The situation just brought it to the surface. If you are angry, ask God why and get His help. Bottom line: it all boils down to not trusting Him.

God is love. Love is faithful. Love gives. Love is trustworthy. Love drives out fear. Love causes our faith to work. Love is patient with imperfect people (so we all qualify). Love is kind. Love is not jealous. Because it is unselfish, love actually wants to see others succeed and move up. Love does not brag and is not puffed up or inflated with pride. It is not rude or unmannerly. Love is not easily provoked, touchy, fretful or resentful. Love does not rejoice in unrighteousness, finding satisfaction in the shortcomings of others. But love is ever ready to believe the best of every person, agressively advertising the good. Love looks out for others and affirms their future. Love endures all things without weakening. Love never fails, never fades out and never comes to an end.

I'm gonna' grow up and be just like my Daddy!
