God is Faithful!

I've been learning and experiencing how God rewards diligence. It's supernatural so quit trying to figure it out and just be diligent to do what you know to do.

Call. Leave a message. Make the next call. Leave a message. Make the next call. Get a "no thanks". Make the next call. Leave a message. Make the next call. Talk for 20 minutes and get no order. Make the next call. Leave a message. Decide to quit. Change your mind. Make the next call. Get a $60 order! Repeat.

My diligence resulted in these seemingly unrelated "harvests":

  • The first guest I brought to a meeting signed up. She's adorable and amazing!
  • A $200 facial with a fellow student. And she's still asking for more stuff and paying cash for it! We like cash.
  • A seemingly random customer from St. Louis called & emailed to tell me she wants to join my team!
  • Over $120 in email orders.
  • A team member who has been inactive for almost a year reactivated!!

Glory to God!! That is fuel for continued diligence regardless of circumstances. The first call I made was to one of my very best customers. Every quarter she places an $80 order online and pays with credit card. Easy call, right? Wrong. Her best friend signed up with Mary Kay and she's switching consultants. OOOUUUCCCHHH!!! That's a discouraging circumstance. She thanked me for my great customer service, but really felt she had to support her friend.

God had me focusing that morning on Phil. 4:8 "whatsoever things are gracious" and 1 Cor 13 "love does not seek it's own." Trust me I needed that supply from Him during that phone call. I wanted to say, "That's not allowed! She should send you back to me. Please don't leave me! I need you!! (tears start here...small sniffle...big sob.) Really, how attractive is that? What I did was graciously let her know that I was always available, that I very much appreciated her as a customer and that I hope her friend does very well in Mary Kay. And I made another phone call. Because my customers are important, but they aren't my supply.

My God shall supply ALL of my needs according to HIS riches in Glory. I've got to stay right with Him, keep the kinks out of the hose by walking in love and doing what He says. He sees what's done in secret and rewards us openly. Work hard in secret. The harvest is coming.

Just stay sharp and keep threshing!
